The OnDemand Team is a group of dedicated professionals who have first-hand experience working with corporate leaders in a wide range of business sectors and with a variety of government agencies. Each member shares the common purpose to provide value  through the matching of highly skilled and experienced project, interim and executive talent who precisely match each client’s specific needs.

Jan Malasek - Founder & CEO

jan.malasekJan’s background spans consulting, industry, and start-up companies. Prior to founding OnDemand Resources in 2003, he was the Executive Director for Global Procurement at BCE Teleglobe, a $1.5 billion global telecommunications company. Prior to Teleglobe, Jan served as the Vice President of Global Marketing, Business Development, and Sourcing, for General Electric Global Exchange Services. He started his GE career at the corporate headquarters with responsibilities leading key corporate initiatives in globalization, services, and Six Sigma. His accomplishments include: setting up GE’s Eastern European sourcing organization, driving cross-business strategic sourcing efforts, and leading e-learning strategy development on a global basis. Jan joined GE from A.T. Kearney where he worked on strategy and operations projects in banking, pharmaceuticals, and the automotive industry. Jan is a native of the Czech Republic, and holds an MBA degree from the Darden School, University of Virginia.

Jessica Malasek - President & CFO

jessica.malasekJessica is a dynamic business leader with more than fifteen years of experience in developing and delivering innovative solutions to large complex business problems. Jessica moved to OnDemand Resources after five years at Capital One Financial, a Fortune 200 company where she implemented large, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives including: integrating new businesses, building a cost-conscious culture, and developing and implementing controls and governance. Prior to joining Capital One, Jessica was a Manager of Strategic Planning at Pfizer, a global pharmaceutical company.  There she led efforts to reduce the cycle time of new drug registration processes in the Asia and Africa region. She joined Pfizer in 1996, as a member of its prestigious Leadership Development Program. She started her career at Dreyfus Corporation as a member of the municipal bond portfolio management and trading team, with responsibilities for all cash management of long-term bond funds. Jessica is a graduate of Barnard College, and holds an MBA degree from the Darden School, University of Virginia.

Robin Pano – Vice President, Client Services

Robin Head shot grey 144x185Robin is a former management consultant with over 25 years of experience in leading and delivering transformational programs in operations and supply chain. She joined OnDemand Resources after serving as a partner/vice president in the Operations Practice with A.T. Kearney, where in addition to her client focus and success, Robin demonstrated strength in building and developing delivery teams and was the regional leader for people care and development programs. Most recently, Robin has been operating as an associated and independent consultant, continuing to work with key clients in the areas of due diligence, merger integration, and supply chain. A leader in supply chain strategy and operational improvement, her career has included major consulting engagements for Fortune 500 clients in consumer goods and retail, high tech, industrial manufacturing and private equity. She has a proven track record for delivering tangible results and securing high client satisfaction. Robin earned her MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and her BA degree in Mathematics from Bowdoin College.

At OnDemand Resources, Robin works closely with her clients in Financial Services, Consumer and Retail and other industries to ensure the best solutions to their business and resource needs.

Lori Souther – Vice President, Client Services

Loi - Bio picture BWLori is a seasoned sales and management professional with 20 years of leadership experience in consultative sales, management and finance with F500 companies.

Lori began her career at Northrup Grumman as a Senior Financial Analyst where she worked with the resource planning team and the program managers across aircraft groups to determine labor and material budgets. At United Technologies, Lori worked for The Otis Elevator Company in New York City, managing a cross functional team of field personnel in maintenance and repair as well as selling to large corporate real estate and hospitality clients. As a Director of Sales for Autodesk, Lori oversaw the East Coast sales efforts for Autodesk’s Buzzsaw division. Selling to the real estate and construction industry as well as F500 retailers and organizations, she and her team helped to introduce their clients to this new technology as a means of managing their projects. Most recently, as the US Sales and Marketing Executive for GOAT Fashion, she managed, across disciplines, to launch this luxury UK women’s clothing label in the US.

Lori has a passion for bringing the Arts to public schools and has served as VP and President of her local school district’s Parents’ Council. She fundraised and worked to institute a sustainable arts program for grades K through 5, including a theater program which has almost 70 participants each term. Lori has a BA in Economics from Stony Brook University and an MBA from the Darden School, University of Virginia.

David Brown – Vice President, Client Services

David is a former management consultant and procurement executive with extensive experience in strategic sourcing and outsourcing focusing on indirect categories. He brings broad knowledge of procurement functions including category management, organizational assessment/design, vendor management, contract management, vendor risk and P2P systems.

David started collaborating with OnDemand in 2006 when he embarked on his independent consulting career.  As an independent consultant, he led 20 projects in the US and Europe across multiple industries including financial services, consumer products, gaming, government, hotels, HVAC service, manufacturing, non-profit, retail products and transportation. 

In addition to his independent consulting career, he was most recently VP Strategic Sourcing at Ameriprise Financial, where he led a team of 13 in the US and India supporting category and contract management in the Marketing, Real Estate, HR and Travel verticals. He also held positions as Manager of Sourcing & Category Management at ICG Commerce (now Accenture), and VP Global Sourcing at Deutsche Bank. He was a founding employee of Zeborg, a procurement technology and services startup, and a consultant with Mitchell Madison Group.

The combination of corporate, top tier and independent consulting background gives David a unique perspective on how to best create value and will serve clients well as he helps them to connect with top project and interim talent.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. He is married with 2 children and lives in Princeton, NJ and serves as on the board of a local day care where his children attended.

Maribeth Foelber – Vice President, Recruiting & Talent Network

Maribeth-Head-Shot-grey-144x185.sharpenedMaribeth leads recruiting at OnDemand and also manages communication with and maintenance of the candidate talent network.  She is a dedicated problem solver with strong background in the consumer goods industry.

Starting out at Kajeet, a start-up company offering a cell phone service for kids, she gained experience from the ground up in logistics, procurement and marketing while earning her degree. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland, she joined Jordan Kitt’s Music, a family owned piano company. Specializing in procurement and supply chain management, her successes included managing all procurement and distribution for 11 locations, reducing overall inventory by 45% in three years and sourcing new products from overseas. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and an overall resourcefulness have led her to have a positive impact on the bottom line throughout her career.
