Jan Malasek – Founder & CEO
Jan’s background spans consulting, industry, and start-up companies. Prior to founding OnDemand Resources in 2003, he was the Executive Director for Global Procurement at BCE Teleglobe, a $1.5 billion global telecommunications company. Prior to Teleglobe, Jan served as the Vice President of Global Marketing, Business Development, and Sourcing, for General Electric Global Exchange Services. He started his GE career at the corporate headquarters with responsibilities leading key corporate initiatives in globalization, services, and Six Sigma. His accomplishments include: setting up GE’s Eastern European sourcing organization, driving cross-business strategic sourcing efforts, and leading e-learning strategy development on a global basis. Jan joined GE from AT Kearney where he worked on strategy and operations projects in banking, pharmaceuticals, and the automotive industry. Jan is a native of the Czech Republic, and holds an MBA degree from the Darden School, University of Virginia.

Jessica Malasek – President
Jessica is a dynamic business leader with more than ten years of experience in developing and delivering innovative solutions to large complex business problems. Jessica moved to OnDemand Resources after five years at Capital One Financial, a Fortune 200 company where she implemented large, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives including: integrating new businesses, building a cost-conscious culture, and developing and implementing controls and governance. Prior to joining Capital One, Jessica was a Manager of Strategic Planning at Pfizer, a global pharmaceutical company. There she led efforts to reduce the cycle time of new drug registration processes in the Asia and Africa region. She joined Pfizer in 1996, as a member of its prestigious Leadership Development Program. She started her career at Dreyfus Corporation as a member of the municipal bond portfolio management and trading team, with responsibilities for all cash management of long-term bond funds. Jessica is a graduate of Barnard College, and holds an MBA degree from the Darden School, University of Virginia.
Lisa J. McCarty – Vice President, Client Services
Lisa is a results-oriented business manager with a track record of creating value and sustainable results in both consulting and industry environments. She joined OnDemand Resources after serving in senior leadership roles at A.T. Kearney and XRoads Solutions Group, where she was a co-founder of the firm’s Management Consulting practice with responsibility for the practice’s service lines. As a consultant, Lisa has led numerous engagements in the areas of business strategy, business process improvement and due diligence and merger integration. Her clients have included Fortune 500 and mid-market companies in the transportation, telecom, industrial manufacturing, consumer products, and retail sectors, as well as private equity. Previously, Lisa served as Director, Market Planning with Yellow Transportation where she was responsible for strategic marketing, marketing research, and new product development. Lisa earned an MBA from the Bloch School, University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council, Bloch School of Business and Public Administration.
Ruby Sahiwal – Strategic Advisor
Ruby’s experience encompasses running factories at GE, advising CEOs of Fortune 100 companies while at McKinsey and starting and managing four software/services companies. Ruby is currently the Founder and Chairman of Accelcia Business Services, and Founder and CEO of Simpacta, a company focused on providing solutions for Value Based Selling. Most recently Ruby was COO of Ketera Technologies. There he achieved a dramatic turnaround – increasing bookings from 600K to 16M in one year and at the same time paring cost down by over 70%. Previously, as COO of VerticalNet Solutions, Ruby envisioned and created the 300+ person strong Enterprise Software arm of VerticalNet from its existing software assets and acquisitions of Isadra & Tradeum. Ruby was President of Tradeum prior to its' acquisition. Before joining Tradeum, Ruby was the Vice President of eBusiness Services for i2, and headed the Strategic Opportunity Assessment group. Ruby joined i2 Technologies from McKinsey & Company, where he served Telecom and Semi-conductor clients in several strategy and operations engagements. He has also performed operations, product development and program management functions for a number of divisions of General Electric for over 6 years, where he is a graduate of GE's two year Manufacturing Management Program (MMP). Ruby has an MBA from the University of Chicago with an emphasis on Strategy & Economics and a Dual BS in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from SUNY at Buffalo.
Robert Schwartz – Strategic Advisor
Robert joined Yale University in January 2004 and is currently the Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. His responsibilities include staffing and career development, compensation, employee benefits and pension, staff relations, organization development, training, organization development and internal communication. Prior to joining Yale University, Rob was the vice president of human resources and administration for the biomedical services division of the American Red Cross. Biomedical Services is a $2B business with over 20,000 employees, 52 separate labor agreements and 340,000 volunteers in the United States and Puerto Rico. He previously served as senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Teleglobe Telecommunication Corporation in Reston, Virginia. In that role he had worldwide responsibility for organizational development, staffing and selection, business process re-engineering, performance management, leadership development and total compensation systems. Schwartz joined Teleglobe from Nabisco Holdings Corp., where he was senior vice president of human resources for Nabisco's Canadian subsidiary, Nabisco Ltd. Earlier, he held a series of senior level positions with Nabisco in organization effectiveness, business redesign, staffing and talent management, training and development as well as employee relations. Before joining Nabisco, Schwartz held managerial roles in human resources for Frito-Lay, Inc. and American Hospital Supply Corp., now part of Baxter International. He holds a B.S. degree in Marketing from Bradley University.
