Position Overview
Our client, a major consulting firm, seeks 6 to 8 senior consultants with category experience in upstream O&G commodities, including drilling equipment and services, pipeline, engineering services, MRO, and consumables. The work includes two phases: 1) a diagnostic and rapid sourcing expected to run for 10 to 14 weeks, followed by 2) traditional strategic sourcing with Wave 1 expected to last for approximately 24 weeks.
Selected resources will operate as stand-alone category leads in a team environment.
Skills/Requirements/Capabilities
- Previous consulting experience in strategic sourcing; major firm experience preferred
- Strong category expertise in upstream O&G commodities -- please be specific and delineate category experience and results achieved in your resume
- Expertise in seven-step sourcing methodology and the ability to know when/how to deploy rapid sourcing
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Strong client relationship and communications skills
- Ability to work independently as a stand-alone category leader while functioning effectively as a member of a high performance team
Client Location and On-Site Requirements
- Client location: Brisbane, Australia
- On-site requirements: 4 to 5 days/week
- Lifestyle/logistics to be discussed as part of candidate qualification
Project Start Date and Duration
- Start date: early to mid-June
