Who is OnDemand Resources?
OnDemand Resources is a company that operates a global network of project and
interim professionals. OnDemand helps clients deliver critical business assignments,
by matching them with pre-qualified professionals who have the precise expertise
required to address their particular needs. Based in Washington D.C., OnDemand is
run by an experienced management team of former top tier consultants and executives
who profoundly understand today’s business opportunities and challenges. OnDemand
Resources is an active and certified member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National
Council (WBENC), and since it's inception has become the preferred provider of top
quality independent professionals for some of the worlds leading companies.

How did OnDemand get started?
In 2003, Jan Malasek founded OnDemand Resources as an alternative to the traditional
management consulting approach. As a former top tier consultant with AT Kearney,
and executive for blue chip companies, Jan found that traditional consulting alternatives
often did not meet the needs of specific clients due to the cost involved or a lack
of subject matter expertise on consulting teams. Many times, companies look for
a flexible resource that can be seamlessly integrated to support their staff with
particular expertise, without needing a large consulting team. Jan began OnDemand
Resources to change the way companies leverage professional resources with a focus
in strategic procurement, supply chain management, and operations. OnDemand’s business
model offers companies easy, fast, and flexible access to reliable, experienced
independent professionals with deep domain expertise at a superior value.

OnDemand matches companies with screened and pre-qualified professionals on a flexible
and interim basis, so that companies can quickly leverage the skills of independent
experts where, and when they need them. Companies leverage OnDemand’s independent
talent in a variety of ways, including staff augmentation, team leadership, and
independent expert analysis.

OnDemand Resources operates a growing global managed network known as the OnDemand
Professional Network™. It includes more than 5,000 screened and pre-qualified independent
professionals called OnDemand Partners. These partners are experienced people who
choose to pursue independent consulting as their primary career. OnDemand’s management
team is extremely selective in the way they engage and select the partners in the
OnDemand Professional Network™ to ensure that they only work with those who are
truly committed to support and see through projects for clients. Partners must demonstrate
proven tangible results in strategic procurement, supply chain management, and operations.
They are accomplished experts with top tier consulting and/or middle to senior level
executive backgrounds.

What is your selection process?
Upon review of your background, we will contact you to discuss current and future
project opportunities that match your experience and skill set (if any). During
our initial contact, we will discuss OnDemand’s engagement model in detail so that
we can decide what opportunities are right for you. OnDemand’s management team is
extremely selective to ensure that they only work with those individuals who are
truly committed to support and see through projects for clients.

What is your project engagement process?
The first step for us in any project engagement is to reach out to the partners
in the OnDemand Professional Network™ that we think are a good fit. We will discuss
the opportunity with you first, and will send you a high-level overview of the opportunity
that describes the project scope, duration, location, and compensation. We will
then seek your feedback to understand whether you believe this is an engagement
for which you are qualified, available, and interested. If you do express interest
in the engagement, we will have an in-depth discussion to determine whether your
skill set is truly a match for the client’s needs. The next step is to submit your
OnDemand Profile (no direct contact information) to the client for review.
Please note that we submit a very short slate of candidates for client review. Should
the client express interest in your profile, we will ask you to sign a Non-Disclosure
Agreement with OnDemand Resources that protects our client relationship. We will
then arrange a meeting for you to interview directly with the client. If you are
selected for the project, we will contact you and will provide you with a contract
directly with OnDemand Resources.

What is a typical engagement?
A typical engagement is full-time, Monday through Friday, and is three to six
months in duration. 90% of our projects are North America-based; the remainder span
the globe. On-site requirements vary by client.
